For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
The First Presbyterian Food Pantry was established in the Spring of 2012. We opened our doors to our neighbors in our community the first Wednesday of May and served over 60 families the first month. Since then the numbers of families requesting assistance has grown substantially. We strive to meet each need with Christ-like compassion, respect, and dignity. The Food Pantry is directed by three dedicated church members as well as a wealth of member volunteers.
Our hours of operation are the third Thursday of every month from 3:00-5:30 pm. Income requirements are determined by the Food Bank Of Iowa. We are an equal opportunity provider FNS Nondiscrimination Statement. No SIEDA voucher required. Request proof of name and address. Please enter through the elevator east side of the church at parking lot register and receive information. Volunteers welcome.
Our hours of operation are from 3:00 – 5:30 pm. If our public schools (Ottumwa school district) close due to bad weather, our Food Pantry will also be closed.
